Custom futures & foresight solutions for science-driven businesses
We offer custom futures and foresight workshops and experiences, as well as practical training and capacity building for teams and practitioners.
Not every challenge fits the Scenarios-to-Strategy format
Fortunately, we’re seasoned futures and foresight practitioners and facilitators, with a deep knowledge of a variety of methods and approaches.
If you need something more tailored, like a custom workshop for a specific event, ongoing foresight support, or internal capacity building, we can help.
Custom foresight solutions for science-based businesses
For teams with specific foresight needs that S2SI doesn’t quite fit. Sometimes you need something more tailored.
For example:
- A horizon scanning workshop before a major strategy offsite
- Scenario planning for a specific decision or product line
- A multi-session foresight journey for a longer transformation
- Leadership retreat focused on exploring future opportunities
- Experiential futures events that combine sensory artefacts, immersive scenarios, and participatory activities.
- Signal-based scenarios (the future of…) to provoke teams to think, talk, and explore possibilities
We design custom workshops and facilitated processes to match your goals, timeline, and team culture. We draw on proven foresight methods, systems thinking, and participatory facilitation approaches.
Popular formats:
- Short talks and bite-sized 1-2 hour provocations
- Half-day or full-day workshops
- Multi-session foresight journeys (3-6 months)
- Executive retreats with futures focus
- Embedding foresight into existing strategy processes
- Short, immersive formats for conferences and offsites

Training & capacity building for futures
Rather than bringing in external facilitators every time, some teams want to develop their own futures thinking capacity. For organisations that want to build internal foresight capability, we offer practical, hands-on training that helps teams and individuals:
- Understand core foresight methods (horizon scanning, scenario planning, backcasting)
- Run their own futures workshops internally
- Integrate foresight into existing planning and decision-making processes
- Build futures literacy across the organization
Training formats:
- Introductory workshops for teams new to foresight (half-day or full-day)
- Skills-building programs for internal leads and managers (multi-session)
- Train-the-facilitator programs for people who want to run foresight processes themselves
Training can be standalone or paired with custom foresight work. For example, we can help you build the capability while solving real challenges.

Not sure which fits?
Every organisation is different. Sometimes you need a focused intervention (S2SI), sometimes ongoing support (custom work), sometimes you want to build the muscle internally (training).
We’re happy to explore what makes sense for your team and context.
Not quite ready for a workshop?
Start with our free webinar. It’s the perfect low-stakes introduction to strategic foresight.
The webinar offers a short, interactive introduction to how foresight can support your strategy, sustainability, and innovation work. We’ll walk through what participatory futures looks like, how it helps teams, and why it’s more relevant than ever.
Perfect if you’re new to foresight or want a taste of how it could support your team.
A note about our methods
We draw on 20+ years of facilitation experience and a deep toolkit of foresight, systems thinking, and participatory methods. Rather than listing everything we can do, we prefer to understand your challenge first, then recommend the right combination of approaches.
If you’re curious about specific foresight methods (scenario planning, systems mapping, futures literacy, horizon scanning etc.) and facilitation tools (liberating structures, technology of participation, participatory practices, appreciative inquiry, Lego® Serious Play etc.), let’s discuss what would work best for your context.
