Facilitating Futures: Community of Practice
An open, facilitated space for people who use futures and foresight methods with groups to co-create hopeful, sustainable futures, and who want to reflect on how they do this work.
This Community of Practice is for anyone facilitating futures-oriented conversations. Whether you’re a consultant, researcher, artist, activist, educator, or community organiser, and whether you work in organisations, consultancies, research settings, or community contexts, you are welcome here. You don’t need to call yourself a ‘futures practitioner’ or get paid for this work: you just need to be actively doing it, with a focus on shaping something better: for people, planet, and the systems we share.

What to expect
These are early days in the life of this Community of Practice (I started this early 2025), but here’s what we’re building together:
A diverse community of practitioners from all walks of life
6-8 facilitated online meetings a year focused on peer-learning, experience sharing, and reflection
A supportive space to explore what’s working, what’s challenging, and what questions are emerging in practice
A curiosity-first, non-competitive approach to deepening our practice
A lightweight shared online space for staying connected and sharing insights between meetings
Invitations to related futures & foresight events useful to practitioners, as they arise
